Waistcoat is an 18^th century term for a Man’s Vest.  These were worn over the shirt and were recognized as part of a proper dressed man.  They were fitted to the body and are sleeveless.  Our Waistcoats can be made from a variety of fabrics.  They are closed in the front by pewter buttons and have working pockets. 

The 1730's style is straight cut down front and longer than the 1750's

The 1750’s style is more straight cut down the front. The length of the

 1770’s style front is more open and swoop's towards the back.
